About upBEAt

upBEAt aims to improve the lives of older people and people with disabilities by investing its profits into Bramley Elderly Action and other good causes, through providing a range of services and products that everyone will find helpful and useful in improving the overall quality of everyday living.

What is a social enterprise?

Social enterprises are organisations that deliver products and services, but with a focus on bringing benefits to the community.

Unlike most private companies that pay out profits in dividends to shareholders, the profits of a social enterprise are reinvested back into the development of the business and back into the community.

Bramley Elderly Action

"Helping Older People Get The Most Out Of Life "

For a number of years now , Bramley Elderly Action (BEA) has been at the forefront of social care for older people. It is their mission to help people get the most out of life by helping them to help themselves.

BEA believe that age is just a state of mind. Although our bodies grow older our minds are still as fresh as a teenager. Living life to the full is all about having fun. By relieving the burdens that come with everyday life as we grow older we can all enjoy a higher quality of life.

BEA doesn't just help with the everyday things in life such as odd jobs and at-home support. They also provide craft groups, exercise classes, tai chi, concerts, dances and swimming clubs through to social groups designed to encourage people to mix, meet new friends, get people out of the house and explore the world around them.
